Spanish Hills is a small, guard-gated community of custom estate homes in the southwest valley, just south of Tropicana Avenue near Durango Drive. It's close to the 215 Beltway, about 17 minutes from the Strip without traffic, a short drive west of Spanish Trail and minutes from Summerlin. The homes are mostly late-1990s and 2000s custom builds on generous lots, often for less than you'd pay for something comparable in newer hillside communities.

What Are the Homes Like?
Spanish Hills is a custom community, so no two homes are alike. You'll see Mediterranean and Spanish-influenced designs with stucco, stone and tile roofs, big entries, pools and outdoor living areas. The homes in recent MLS sales were 3,969 to 6,908 square feet and built between 1997 and 2004.
Because many homes are 20 to nearly 30 years old, remodel level drives price more than square footage. A fully updated home and an original one on the same street can be more than a million dollars apart. Inspect roofs, pools, HVAC and plumbing carefully.
